Die Hofwerkstatt Essen als Kultureinrichtung im Essener Süden existiert seit nunmehr 30 Jahren. Ausgangspunkt der Gründung der Einrichtung war und ist die Kommunikation der verschiedenen Disziplinen im Haus. Und in diesem Fall geht es um Kunstevents, in denen die verschiedenen Künste auch ohne das gesprochene Wort und zugleich mit verschiedenen Sprachen einen Gesamtklang ergeben dürfen.

The Hofwerkstatt Essen as a cultural institution in the south of Essen has existed for 30 years now. The starting point for the establishment of the institution was and is the communication of the various disciplines in the house. And in this case it's about art events in which the different arts can create an overall sound even without the spoken word and at the same time with different languages. Kommunikation der Künste: Musik- und Tanzperformance im Gespräch mit Bildender Kunst

Tanzperformance mit Margarita Nagel sind im Austausch mit der Kunst von Gabriele Musebrink und ihren Klassen
Bewegte Kunst auf Papier, haptisch, gebrochen, verschlossen im Buch oder transformiert zu Haut: Kunst mit viel Poesie. Zu dieser Atmosphäre interagiert Ludger Schmidt mit seinem Cello / E-Cello. Margarita Nagel kommuniziert mit ihrem Körper ausdrucksstark zu dieser sich entwickelnden Atmosphäre.
Die Künstler:
Ludger Schmidt eröffnet mit seinem Cello eine Bandbreite von Klängen. Er ist mit seiner Musik in verschiedenen Kulturräumen zu Hause, woraus er in der Reflektion zu der ausgestellten Kunst besondere Klanglandschaften entstehen lässt.
Margarita Nagel ist mit ihrem Tanz zu Hause im expressiven Tanztheater einer Pina Bausch.
Gabriele Musebrink ist Gründerin wie Leiterin der Hofwerkstatt. Mit ihrer Kunst ist sie international vertreten. Das von ihr entwickelte ‘process painting of intuitive power‘ ist eine Malerei der Transformation, eine Widerspiegelung natürliche Lebensprozesse. Die Entscheidung der verwendeten Materialien – zumeist natürlicher Herkunft – fällt im Prozess des Tuns.
Teilnehmer der Studien-Malklassen von der Kunstschule Musebrink drücken sich vielgestaltig in dieser besonderen Art der Malerei aus und haben sich eingelassen auf den feinen Raum des Interagierens von Material und dem, was sich in diesem spürenden, zumeist langsamen Tun entwickelt.

Moving art on paper, tactile, broken, sealed in a book or transformed into skin: art with a lot of poetry. Ludger Schmidt interacts with his cello / electric cello to create this atmosphere. Margarita Nagel expressively communicates with this developing atmosphere with her body.
The artists:
Ludger Schmidt opens up a range of sounds with his cello. With his music he is at home in various cultural spaces, from which he creates special sound landscapes in reflection of the art on display.
Margarita Nagel's dance is at home in the expressive dance theater of Pina Bausch.
Gabriele Musebrink is the founder and director of the Hofwerkstatt. Her art is represented internationally. The ‘process painting of intuitive power’ she developed is a painting of transformation, a reflection of natural life processes. The choice of materials used – mostly of natural origin – is made in the process of doing something.
Participants in the study painting classes at the Musebrink art school express themselves in many different ways in this special type of painting and have become involved in the fine space of the interaction of material and what develops in this tangible, mostly slow action.
